Not only is their appetite a problem. They also reproduce fast... Like rats fast! They can lay 1200 eggs per year and can live up to 9 years.

Attack of the Killer Snails!
Florida is under siege by rat sized snails! Snails that can eat through plants, stucco, plastic recycle bins, and blow out car tires. Sounds like a drug induced dream or cheap B reel movie. But it is TRUE. The snail is called the African Land Snail and it on a rampage in the Miami - Dade county area.
