Yesterday I talked a little bit about how powerful our brain is and what it is capable of. I would like to continue that premise today and talk about how our brains are able to make order out of chaos. It's our brains job to make sure what we see, feel, and hear is organized into something that we can recognize. It's part of what allows us to look up at the stars and 'see' the constellations. Or look at a word search and find the words. That same amazing ability however, can be used to mess up our minds. It's why optical illusions are so cool. They play havoc on our brain as it attempts to resolve the data that it's receiving.
Here are a few to show you what I mean....
Are the lines horizontal, or curved?
Do you see black and white dots?
An impossible triangle.
How many faces do you see? (Hint... there are 3)
Try to say the COLOR of the word, not the word itself
It's a mess when we short out that powerful nugget we call a brain. Pretty cool huh?
