Shock Troops

I was surfing the other day and came across a rather disturbing image. Apparently the Taiwanese government has developed a new uniform for their special forces. The outfit looks more like something you would see in a science fiction movie rather than marching on a 21st century battlefield. Here are a few pictures of the new uniform…..

Pretty intimidating stuff huh? The uniform incorporates bullet proof armor and a ballistic face mask. For all your combat survival needs. I'll be honest, now that I really look at the face mask, it almost looks like some sick S&M set up. I guess they're into that kind of thing.

Movie Magic Coming to Life?

I'm sure many of you have seen the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Predator. In the movie, Arnold and his team of elite soldiers come face to face with an alien hunter from another world. The alien hunter has a variety of high tech tools to tilt the scale in his favor. Such as heat vision, laser targeted and computer controlled plasma cannon, and an invisibility cloak.

It's one of the coolest scenes in the movie when something splashes into the lake behind Arnold, and out walks the predator. The invisibility cloak failing because of the water.

 
Can you imagine hunting with an invisibility cloak. How about a military with this ability. Invisible soldiers or even tanks. Well, if this website is to be believed... We could see it in our lifetime.
