Cue the news.

Today we have access to news just about anywhere, anytime. It's on TV... on the Internet... and on our phones. Yep... they have an app for that. It's almost to much news. I remember a time when the news came on at certain times of the day and you had basically three major networks and that was it. (CBS, NBC, and ABC)

Well on this day (June 1st) in 1980, that all changed. That day, the Cable News Network fired up. We of course know it as CNN. It was the first 24 hour news source. Broadcasting 24/7 the latest news from all over the world. Today they are one of the premier news agencies broadcasting. 

It's hard to believe that they are 33 years old today. Happy birthday CNN.
