Entitlement - The down fall of the United States

We had an interesting incident at work today. I work at a local company in the HR department. We were all down front in the lobby discussing various items with employees that had questions. All of a sudden this young man comes in the door, doesn't say a word and walks past all of us heading to the bathrooms.

My co-worker was the first to recover and said "Can we help you?" He stops and replies, "I'm getting a drink." And he's giving attitude like who the heck are you to be asking. Now this is a business, we aren't a public drinking fountain or bathroom. How he even knew we had a drinking fountain is beyond us. Needless to say, my co-worker in no short order invited him to leave.

Which brings me to my point. I can't believe the youth today. There is NO respect any more. I would never have dreamed of walking in someplace like I owned it and just walk by without saying a word. If I was desperate and knew they had a fountain, I may have stopped and ASKED, if I could get a drink. However, if they said no, I would have respected their property and moved on.

I see it every day anymore. People cutting lines, being rude to waitresses, ignoring you when you speak to them, the list goes on and on. It make me want to pimp slap em. Everyone thinks they are entitled to something for nothing. BULL CRAP!! GET OUT AN WORK FOR IT! It makes me sad. If this country had to face a situation similar to WWII today, we would all be speaking German within a week.

I just don't understand how someone can think that kind of behavior is acceptable.

End of Rant.... Now back to your regularly scheduled program.
