The Horrific Beast of Enfield Illinois

I must admit that I'm taken in by shows like Finding Bigfoot or TV specials on The Loch Ness Monster. I've always wondered if there could be something lurking out there that we haven't seen yet. It's pretty obvious from some of the "extinct" fish we've been pulling out of the ocean that we really don't know what could be out there. (Do you have chills yet... LOL)

While I'm sure most of you have heard about the Bigfoot or Nessie, I'd be willing to wager you have NOT heard of the beastie that I read about today. Apparently around April of 1973, the small town of Enfield Illinois was harassed by some sort of bizarre creature. The critter was described as having three legs, a grayish, slimy epidermis, short claws, and reddish eyes. Creepy!

This abomination apparently first attacked a young boy while he was playing outside. Initially the report was chalked up to a wild imagination, however, thirty minutes later, the thing attempted to get into the neighbors house. When the man of the house opened the door, he was startled to see what was standing in front of him and did what any red blooded man would do. He got his pistol and blasted it.

Over the next few months several others claim to have seen the beastie. During one sighting the website claims a recording of the things scream was recorded. (Why is it all these things have a scream. Have you seen Finding Bigfoot?)

Bigfoot and Things That Go Bump in the Night

It's later than I would normally post. I'm sorry about that. Playing catch up at work after being off for twelve days has played havoc with my days and nights. Enough of that... On to some good stuff.

While watching TV I came across an interesting article. It talks about a possible Bigfoot that has been captured. Of course as expected, the press isn't being allowed to see it yet. It would seem they are looking for someone to "purchase" exclusive rights to the beast.

I must admit I've often wondered if Bigfoot was real. Or what about the Locke Ness Monster? There are so many different ones to choose from. While I still reserve judgment, I would also ask why, with all of our technology, have we not found any definitive proof? You would think that something would of turned up. There's even a show that actively looks for Bigfoot. I'm sure you may have seen it. It's called Finding Bigfoot.
